Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Lead Respiratory Therapist for Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time night position runs 7pm–7:30am, with every other weekend and holidays.

Responsibilities include coordinating shift activities, ensuring patient care standards, and guiding staff through assessments and orders. Requires CoARC-approved education, RRT, IL licensure, and critical care NICU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program (CoARC).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• State licensure as an Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
• Current CPR, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required.
• Level 3 NICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shift activities and ensure staff provide care per standards.
• Plan and organize daily shift activities of therapists and technicians; monitor department performance and budgets.
• Adjust shift assignments to respond to workload, staffing, and events.
• Provide leadership, assist with assessments, and initiate orders per protocol.
• Help staff troubleshoot procedures and equipment and resolve problems.
