Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC seeks a skilled maintenance technician to maintain the interior and exterior of a large community, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality. The role includes making repairs, managing make-ready processes for new residents, and enforcing Greystar standards.

The position requires EPA Type I/II or Universal certification, a valid driver's license, and a strong focus on customer service and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience helpful.
• Experience in property management maintenance or building maintenance.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by state law.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and fix problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for management support.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine maintenance.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and vendor coordination.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by team members to ensure policy and quality compliance.
• Inspect work by contractors to verify quality and scope.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and coordinate with management on supplies.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist Community Manager in budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing where feasible.
• Conduct safety meetings and keep MSDS up to date; follow OSHA and related laws.
• Provide courteous customer service to residents and staff in addressing issues.
