Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure clean, safe, and functional interiors and exteriors of the community. You will diagnose defects, complete resident work orders, and coordinate make-ready tasks for leasing and move-ins.

Responsibilities include inspecting work for quality, maintaining tools and inventory, and supporting the Community Manager with preventive maintenance and budget-related tasks. A valid driver’s license and EPA HVAC certification are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Provide own hand tools and use them safely.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Valid driver's license to operate on-site vehicles.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal HVAC certifications if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete resident work orders and routine maintenance.
• Oversee the make-ready process for vacant units and schedule vendors.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors for quality.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools and manage budget adherence.
• Conduct monthly preventive maintenance and assist in budgeting for repairs.
