Job summary

In Charge Electrical Services, a fast-growing residential electrical subcontractor, is hiring a Residential Electrical Instructor in Houston North. You will lead a training crew of 2–6 apprentices and wire real houses, teaching proper methods, code compliance, and safe practices on active jobs.

Requirements include 5–7+ years as a residential electrician, supervisory experience, mentoring ability, strong NEC knowledge, and a valid master/journeyman license.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience as a practicing residential Electrician.
• Ability to wire a house quickly and teach others to do the same.
• Supervisory-level field experience leading crews.
• Experience training or mentoring apprentices or field teams.
• Strong NEC knowledge and job-site safety practices.
• Clear communicator and detail-oriented.
• Valid Wireman, Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a training crew of 2 to 6 apprentices on active job sites.
• Train hands-on through rough and trim installations and coach apprentices.
• Teach apprentices to wire houses efficiently with speed and quality.
• Check apprentices’ work, correct mistakes on the spot, ensure code conformance.
• Teach NEC requirements and NFPA 70E safety as part of daily work.
• Mentor each apprentice, track progress and training records, hold 1-on-1s.
• Report progress to training leadership and collaborate with field supervisors.
