Qualus in the United States is seeking experienced Relay Testing Professionals at Level III, Senior, and Lead levels in our Field Engineering department. The role focuses on commissioning and testing protection & control schemes for substations and plants, including IEDs and IEC-61850 interfaces.

The position involves end-to-end testing, design reviews, risk assessments, and mentoring field technicians. Travel to client sites is required, with housing provided during assignments and strong

Qualificações

• 5+ years’ experience in relay testing and commissioning in substations.
• Associates or military training may qualify as Technicians; Bachelor's degree may classify as Engineers.
• Ability to read One Line and AC/DC diagrams and perform field work.

Responsabilidades

• Red-lines design documents throughout the drawing set (Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, Panel Arrangement, Bill of Material).
• Performs End-To-End testing.
• Performs IED testing with manual methods or automated test sets (Doble 6150, Omicron, Manta).
• Identifies risks in testing and commissioning.
• Develops test plans, risk assessments and basic protection/control system guidelines.
• Leads people and tasks within projects and conducts site safety inspections.
• Supports company and customer policies and procedures.
