Job summary

Henderson Engineers, Inc. seeks a Lead Refrigeration Engineer to design advanced building systems in the G&D sector. The role focuses on creating design documents, performing calculations, mentoring staff and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

PE license is required and experience with Revit and Bluebeam is preferred. The position emphasizes leadership, client collaboration and project risk management, with opportunities for growth in a client-centric, ESOP-enabled environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 9 years of experience or 10 years with HS diploma (required).
• PE license required; sustainability certifications (preferred) are a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design, codes, standards and project coordination.
• Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu; strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and direct the preparation of design documents and drawings.
• Lead project/design efforts from concept through completion.
• Mentor and supervise design staff; ensure scope, schedule and quality.
• Coordinate with clients, architects and internal teams across disciplines.
• Support business development and establish team workflow and standards.
