Job summary

Henderson Engineers seeks a Lead Refrigeration Engineer to design advanced building systems, lead design teams and perform engineering calculations in coordination with multiple disciplines.

The role requires a PE license, a Bachelor’s in engineering, and 9–10 years of experience. You’ll mentor staff, support business development, and oversee quality across projects in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 9–10 years of relevant experience or 10+ years with high school diploma.
• PE license required; FE exam preferred.
• Certifications aligned with sustainability (e.g., CDP, LEED) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or directs simple to complex design documents, layouts, drawings, schematics and specs.
• Leads project and design efforts from concept through completion.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs.
• Mentors designers and engineers, providing technical guidance.
• Manages scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements.
• Develops client relationships and supports business opportunities.
