Job summary

Henderson Engineers in Plano, TX is seeking a Lead Refrigeration Engineer to design advanced building systems, mentor staff, and lead multi-discipline project efforts from concept through to completion.

This role requires a PE license, a strong background in mechanical/electrical systems, proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam, and a proven ability to manage client relationships and project scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 9+ years of experience (or 10+ with HS).
• PE license; may count toward 1 year of experience.
• Certifications aligned with sustainability (CDP, LEED, WELL) preferred.
• FE exam completion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or direct design documents, layouts, drawings, schematics and specs.
• Lead project and design efforts from concept design through completion.
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs.
• Mentor and supervise designers and engineers, providing oversight.
• Ensure drawings, reports and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality.
• Develop tools, resources and company standards.
• Maintain client relationships and support business development.
• Oversee quality through reviews and regular check-ins.
