Ascension Health in Wauwatosa, WI is seeking a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to provide skilled imaging in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The role includes overseeing quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting while serving as a resource to staff.

The position entails creating the upcoming X-ray shift schedule, finalizing Kronos timecards, and delivering staff orientation, training and coaching to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire, accepted by AHA or Red Cross.
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI before hire date.
• ARRT Radiography certification with General Radiography required; state licensure in WI.
• ARDMS credentialed Medical Sonography may be required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting.
• Serve as a resource to department staff as well as other members of the team as needed.
• Create the upcoming X-ray shift schedule and finalize Kronos timecards/approvals.
• Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provide input to staff performance evaluations.
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

One or more of the following:

• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
