Job summary

Ascension, Brookfield, WI, seeks an Imaging professional to prepare and position patients, manage exposure factors, and ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS. You will administer contrast media within regulatory scope and monitor patients throughout procedures.

The role requires relevant radiology credentials (ARRT/CCI) and state licensure, with a focus on patient safety and image accuracy. Rotating shift / PRN schedule at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire.
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI.
• ARRT Radiography credentialed before hire.
• General Radiography credentialed in addition to any specialty.
• Wisconsin Radiology licensure required.
• ARDMS Sonography credentialed before hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for imaging and set exposure factors.
• Prepare and administer contrast media within scope of practice and regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and report abnormalities; monitor and refine protocols as needed.
• Ensure high-quality images and correct data are submitted to PACS.

Job description

Your future role at a glance

• Location: Brookfield, WI
• Facility: Elmbrook Memorial Hospital
• Department: Imaging
• Schedule: Rotating Shift | PRN

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Prepare and position patients for imaging, selects exposure factors, anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observe patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

Qualifications

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty.
• State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
