Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT, is seeking an engineer to provide development engine test support across PW product lines. The role focuses on engine systems functional understanding, validation through analysis tools and data from testing, and coordinating test plans.

You will lead TEA engine teams and technical projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multiple groups to ensure propulsion systems meet requirements. Travel and occasional off-shift work are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science & Technology.
• 5 years of engineering experience or an advanced degree with 3 years of engineering experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for development engine tests and validation of propulsion systems across PW product lines.
• Responsible for test/analysis plans, instrumentation coordination, pre-test predictions, test procedures, data management and reporting.
• Lead TEA engine teams and technical projects; mentor junior staff and develop leadership skills.
• Participate in discipline improvement activities and knowledge management.
• Interact daily with EDSI Groups, Modules, Controls, Instrumentation, IT and Product Validation; travel, off-shift and weekend work may be required.
• Some travel to engine test sites and customer/partner sites.
• 1st shift with occasional off-shift and weekend work when needed.
