Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Test Systems Engineering family. The role focuses on developing mechanical, electrical, and physical infrastructure for jet engine testing, leading design efforts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet program objectives.

You will guide teams, communicate complex concepts to varied audiences, and ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective solutions while advancing test capability and equipment

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering or higher.
Advanced degree with relevant engineering experience preferred.
Experience in design engineering and leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Develop complex design solutions independently or with teams.
Lead multidisciplinary design efforts across civil/structural and electrical teams.
Create and review product definition drawings and models.
Lead technical design reviews with stakeholders and chief engineers.
Ensure safety, code compliance, budget, and environmental considerations.
