Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, CT is seeking a seasoned engineer to provide support for development engine tests and functional validation across product lines. You will manage test plans, instrumentation, data analysis, and documentation to ensure propulsion systems meet requirements.

The role requires leadership of TEA engine teams, mentoring junior engineers, and collaboration with multiple groups. Some travel, shift flexibility, and onsite work are expected as part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science & Technology.
• 5 years of engineering experience or an advanced degree with 3 years of engineering experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for development engine tests and functional validation across PW product lines.
• Lead test and analysis plans, instrumentation coordination, pre-test predictions, data management and test reporting.
• Lead TEA engine teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in discipline improvement activities and knowledge management.
• Travel to engine test sites and customer locations; occasional off-shift work.
• 1st shift with occasional off shift & weekend work.
