Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure the community’s buildings, grounds, and amenities meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose resident service requests, perform repairs, and manage make-ready tasks for move-ins.

The role requires basic trade experience, tool proficiency, and strong customer service. A valid driver’s license and ability to work a flexible schedule are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools and be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs; PMS experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills necessary to handle financial, administrative and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and safety standards.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and supplies.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspects work by team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and coordinates with the Community Manager on supplies within budget.
• Completes monthly preventative maintenance procedures and supports budget development for repairs and capital projects.
