Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the community meets Greystar standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will handle work orders, prepare units for leasing, and maintain grounds and building exteriors.

Responsibilities include diagnosing defects, scheduling vendors, completing preventative maintenance, and supporting budget development.

Qualifications

• Requires EPA Type I/II or Universal for HVAC work.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Own hand tools, and ability to safely use power tools and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents and team members.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs and maintenance record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues from resident requests following safety policies and codes.
• Complete make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units for leasing, including inspections and scheduling contractors.
• Set and maintain cleanliness and appearance standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials; assist with budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Participate in monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in policy manuals.
• Assist in developing the maintenance budget and cost-control measures.
• Support safe work practices by leading safety meetings and maintaining MSDS sheets.
