Sun Recruiting, Inc. seeks a Project Manager for Heavy Civil / NCDOT work in the Charlotte, NC area with responsibilities across central North Carolina.

You will run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing budget, schedule, forecasts and margins while leading field teams and coordinating with owners, engineers and inspectors. This role is ideal for candidates with NCDOT PM experience who want a backlog of won work and direct access to senior

Competenze

• 5+ years as the Project Manager of record on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work for a contractor.
• Documented NCDOT project experience as the PM is required; ready to name the jobs.
• Experience running projects end-to-end; not an APM or Project Engineer.
• Contractor-side background required; not suitable for consultants or inspectors.

Mansioni

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own the budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margin on every job.
• Submit accurate cost and income projections and act on variances early.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subcontractors to hit production, quality and safety.
• Serve as the main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders and manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals, claims and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost, and report performance to leadership.
• Work with estimating on bids and the handoff so the job starts right.
• Keep a strong safety culture on every site.
