Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Project Manager for Advanced Manufacturing in Dallas, TX to coordinate resources, budgets, schedules, and contractual requirements across the full project lifecycle. You will communicate with owners, designers, and trade partners to maintain alignment with the project plan.

The role requires 5+ years in advanced manufacturing projects, strong leadership, organizational, and financial acumen, and the ability to manage multi-tasking across complex contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or applicable discipline.
• 5+ years of related experience in Advanced Manufacturing Projects.
• Excellent business judgment demonstrated by profitability objectives and strong project close-outs.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with contract and legal provisions.
• Ability to analyze and execute financial trade-offs with incomplete data.
• Strong multi-tasking ability and prioritization between business needs and client relations.
• Strong sense of urgency and initiative.
• Team leadership with diplomatic communication and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and communicate with Suffolk Field Supervision, Subcontractors and Vendors to assist them in working to the Project Schedule.
• Represent Suffolk with Owner(s), Architects, Consultants, Government Authorities, Vendors and Subcontractors.
• Administer financial aspects of the Owner's contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Build effective working relationships with clients and the Suffolk project team members.
• Project Start-Up: review contracts, confirm budget setup and milestones; create schedule of values and project logs; plan safety and mobilization.
• Purchasing process and document control: maintain buy schedule, write scopes, distribute and log subcontracts, ensure insurance requirements.
• Review subcontractor references, obtain bonds, and maintain project files.
• Maintain and manage all purchase and delivery schedules, change orders, shop drawings, logs, and correspondence.
• Work with Purchasing on trade buyout, scope definitions, and alignment with project schedules.
• Meeting Management: attend and chair schedule/management meetings as needed.
• Financial Management: manage requisitions and payments, including lien releases and payroll, maintaining cash flow.
• Project Closeout: deliver manuals, consolidate documentation, transfer utilities, owner training, and warranties.
