Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced project engineer/senior engineer to manage engineering and admin functions at a Philadelphia project site. You will lead the engineering team, ensure safety and compliance, and coordinate information flow across the project team to support timely, high-quality delivery.

You will oversee contract documents, budgeting, QA/QC, and coordination with design professionals, owners, and subs. Strong communication and BIM/Lean exposure are important.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus minimum eight years' related experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures.
• Knowledge of estimating, costs, scheduling, purchasing and engineering principles.
• Strong computer skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of Turner's PM and scheduling software desirable.
• Ability to implement BIM and Lean to benefit the project.
• Ability to understand drawings, specs, contracts and methods.
• Strong oral and written communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of contract documents (Turner, plans, specs, codes).
• Lead and develop Turner engineering staff and conduct appraisals.
• Ensure safety, ethics and compliance at all times.
• Communicate information among project team members.
• Establish procedures with design pros, owner and subs for flow and approvals.
• Work with Preconstruction, Estimating and Purchasing on GMP/budget.
• Review construction docs for constructability and QA/QC.
• Contribute to studies and cost estimates.
• Prepare contract items list and trade scopes for bids.
• Prepare procurement schedule for subs and major buys.
• Manage financial status and reports.
• Schedule and document owner-architect and coordination meetings.
• Handle subcontract change orders and approvals.
• Manage project close-out, warranties, retention.
