Job summary

Turner Construction Co. in Philadelphia seeks a Project Engineer to help manage a major construction project on time and within budget, coordinating with architects, subcontractors and Owner representatives.

The selected candidate will supervise engineers, assistants and interns, prepare scope documents, review submittals and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, OMs and as-builts, while applying BIM and LEAN principles to optimize the schedule and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus at least four years of related experience.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEAN.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with architects, subcontractors, consultants and owner representatives to resolve plan issues.
• Oversee contract drawings and subcontract information; ensure drawings align with estimates.
• Manage project budget and submittals, shop drawings, RFIs and close-out records.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and prepare scope of work documents.
• Develop reports on General Conditions items, labor, safety and change orders.
• Supervise engineers, assistants, plan clerks and interns.
• Schedule and coordinate preconstruction and submittal review meetings.
