Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Philadelphia Main division seeks an experienced project engineer to supervise engineering and administrative functions at the project level. You will coordinate with field operations to ensure information flow is clear and implemented.

Reports to Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. The role emphasizes QA/QC, cost control, GMP/budget input, and leadership of engineering staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus minimum of eight years' related experience.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures.
• Knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principles.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Turner's Project Management and scheduling software desirable.
• Ability to implement BIM and Lean technology.
• Demonstrated ability to understand drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Strong oral and written communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of contract documents, plans, specs, and codes.
• Lead, supervise and develop engineering staff and appraisals.
• Ensure adherence to safety, ethics and compliance.
• Communicate information among project team members.
• Coordinate with design professionals, owners and subs for information flow and approvals.
• Lead preconstruction efforts with estimating and purchasing for GMP/budget.
• Review documents for constructability and QA/QC.
• Prepare procurement schedules for subcontractors and major purchases.
• Manage project financials and status reports.
• Schedule and document all job meetings and coordination sessions.
• Handle subcontract change orders and final close-out.
