Qualifications

• 3+ years of health care revenue cycle experience in a physician practice.
• Demonstrated competency in professional coding and guidelines.
• Experience with an electronic health record (EHR) system.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise coding staff, assign work, train, and resolve issues.
• Promote coding quality to comply with payer guidelines and regulations.
• Conduct quality audits to maintain coding accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage processes to ensure timely coding completion and posting.
• Evaluate staffing needs and develop cross-training to optimize productivity.
• Provide staff education on coding practices, policies, and payer rules.
