Northern Trust is seeking a Production Support Engineer to join our Wealth Management technology team. The role requires CIO‑level visibility and 7x24 availability in a client‑centric production environment.

You will collaborate with Application Development to implement solutions and manage production issues across global teams. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, robust Java and cloud experience, and a solid understanding of modern cloud technologies in finance.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of application development and production support experience.
• Experience supporting business applications on Java and database technologies.
• Familiar with Agile/XP environments and SSDLC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead production stability efforts and prevent production issues.
• Assist Change/Incident/Problem Management and software releases.
• Improve application stability, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Provide leadership to junior staff and coordinate global teams.
• Communicate with business units to solve problems with technology.
• Direct projects including planning, status reporting and implementation.
• Ensure audit, data security and compliance requirements are met.
• Coordinate with onsite/offshore NT partners to support applications and drive improvements.
