Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm) to lead manufacturing activities and coach team members. You will prepare daily work plans and use SAP EWM to support production goals, ensuring training and safety standards are followed.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years of leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a solid foundation in MS Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce Company safety guidelines in partnership with EHS to ensure employees work in a safe manner consistent with Hubbell policies and procedures.
• Schedule work assignments, vacations, and ensure accurate time reporting for Hourly Employees.
• Creating and promoting a positive and inclusive culture built on respect and professionalism.
• Conducting shift start-up meetings, communicate production objectives, and addressing operational challenges.
• Planning work assignments to achieve maximum utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
• Resolve team conflict and manage personnel issues that may arise in partnership with Human Resources.
• Communicating to management any changes or conditions which may affect production.
• Monday through Friday from 6:00AM- 3:00PM. Some Saturdays required.
• Identify and/or resolve problems related to production processes and/or flow and work with key stakeholders to follow-thru on resolutions.
• Assess and maintain necessary raw material inventory levels to meet productivity and output targets.
• Manage system transactions in SAP EWM and resolve system discrepancies as needed by working with Production Control and other support staff.
