Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own a critical area of our product portfolio and partner with Product and Engineering to shape problems worth solving for first responders.

The role influences across Dispatch, Records, Analytics, and mobile apps, and involves building design systems, driving craft, and guiding teams through discovery to shipped outcomes while maintaining user-centered focus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional product design experience with ownership of shipped software products.
• Track record leading design for a substantial product area from discovery to shipped outcomes.
• Strong product judgment spanning customer needs, strategy, interaction design, and execution.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative research informing product decisions.
• Excellent interaction and visual design skills with a high bar for craftsmanship.
• Ability to present design decisions clearly to customers, peers, and senior leadership.
• Experience in public safety or mission-critical software is a plus, including maps, native apps, or AI/ML-powered products.

Responsibilities

• Set the design direction for a critical product area and create a vision for its evolution.
• Trade off decisions balancing user needs, constraints, and business priorities.
• Design across devices and environments to support an ecosystem of products.
• Contribute to design system improvements and guide other designers.
