Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process and Tooling Engineer to lead all facets of Blow M molding tooling, process development, validation, and qualification across our manufacturing network. You will manage tooling projects from concept to implementation, providing technical leadership in mold manufacturing, process optimization, equipment validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of ISBM capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related technical discipline.
Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in plastics packaging manufacturing, process engineering, tooling engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Lead all mold sampling, process qualification, and validation activities for new, replacement, and rebuilt molds.
Optimize molding processes to achieve dimensional, visual, and performance specifications at designed cycle times.
Establish validated baseline processes and maintain standardized Master Process Sheets.
Create and maintain POA documentation and baseline operating parameters.
Support machine startups involving new, transferred, modified, or repaired tooling and machines.
Provide technical support for troubleshooting processes, machines, tooling, quality, and productivity issues.
Perform process capability studies, DOE, and validation testing.
Conduct tooling and equipment qualification activities at vendor and manufacturing locations.
Recommend tooling modifications and process improvements based on engineering studies and production data.
Support reduction of scraps, improvement of line efficiencies, and optimization of overall equipment effectiveness.
