Job summary

Lilly, headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Principle Process Engineer - API EM Small Molecule to lead process engineering activities across CM sites, driving scalable transfer, PV readiness, and continuous improvements for life-changing medicines.

The role emphasizes strong technical leadership, development of process knowledge, and collaboration with CM teams, with focus on safety, quality, and regulatory excellence. Onsite in Indianapolis with partial remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, or another engineering discipline with extensive chemical manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years of work experience in a manufacturing/process engineering related role related to small molecules.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not provide sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain process knowledge to ensure execution of the appropriate product, process, and operational control strategy at CM sites.
• Lead/support tech transfers and scale-up from development through PV and commercial supply.
• Lead or participate in root cause analysis and countermeasure development for major safety, quality, or throughput incidents.
