Job summary

Lilly, located onsite in Indianapolis, seeks a Senior Scientist for the API-EM program to provide technical expertise in small molecule manufacturing, process transfers, validations, and optimization. The role requires GMP knowledge, regulatory understanding, and leadership to drive commercialization efforts.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in API manufacturing, a Master’s in Chemistry or related field, and proven ability to mentor peers while delivering on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field and 8+ years of Small Molecule API manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory expectations.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for Small Molecule manufacturing processes.
• Lead resolution of technical issues related to control strategy and manufacturing.
• Communicate effectively to manage internal and external relationships.
• Build and maintain relationships with development and central technical organizations.
• Ensure proper documentation of process descriptions, measures, ranges, and specifications.
