Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in the GES North America Design & Construction team. You will independently lead cross-functional industrial preconstruction programs from site selection through design, permitting, and contract execution across North America, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule alignment with Amazon standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, Development Manager, or Owner's representative in commercial development.

Responsibilities

• Interface with AHJ to ensure regulatory compliance and permitting.
• Review zoning, fire and building code requirements for projects.
• Independently manage cross-functional industrial preconstruction projects from site selection to contract execution.
• Lead site selection, scope development, and design management per Amazon standards.
• Manage multiple large projects across locations with timely decisions and risk mitigation.
• Develop and manage project budgets and schedules; perform conceptual estimating.
