Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects, coordinating engineering, permitting, interconnection, and scope development to ensure designs are de-risked and ready for construction.

This hybrid, office-based role emphasizes collaboration across internal teams and external partners, with focus on scheduling, risk mitigation, and value engineering to support bids, contracts, and timely project

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or construction field.
• Experience in renewable energy construction and project management preferred.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive preconstruction readiness by coordinating engineering, permitting, procurement, and O&M inputs.
• Direct internal teams and third-party engineers to produce geotechnical, civil, HV, PV, and BESS designs.
• Coordinate survey execution and site data collection for accurate engineering design.
• Monitor design progress and enforce milestones to enable bidding and contract award.
• Lead cost optimization and value engineering to reduce project cost.
• Develop and manage civil permitting strategies and timelines.
• Facilitate acquisition of permits and interconnection plans.
• Integrate O&M requirements into project scope and contracts.
• Assemble scopes of work for bidding and enable procurement.
