Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to lead and coordinate preconstruction activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including engineering, permitting, interconnection, and scope development, to ensure projects are fully designed and de-risked before construction begins.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in renewable energy construction, engineering and project management; PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Renewable Energy construction, engineering, and project management. PMP preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage customer relationships.
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Office-based role with travel to other offices and field locations.

Responsibilities

• Drive preconstruction readiness coordinating engineering, permitting, procurement, and O&M inputs.
• Manage engineering scope, deliverables, and timelines with internal and third‑party teams.
• Coordinate survey execution and site data collection with development teams.
• Ensure timely completion of construction drawings and milestones.
• Lead cost optimization and LCOE improvement through cross‑functional reviews.
• Develop civil permitting strategies and coordinate key permits with stakeholders.
• Prepare interconnection plans and schedules with engineering and compliance teams.
• Integrate O&M requirements into project scope and contracts.
