Job summary

RWE Americas is seeking a Senior Utility-scale Development Manager to initiate, develop and acquire utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage projects in the US. You will lead cross-functional teams, oversee the full lifecycle from site due diligence to COD, and manage budgets and stakeholder relationships to maximize project value.

You will mentor junior managers, coordinate with commercial and technical teams, and ensure timely project approvals and financing.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Environmental Science, or relevant fields.
• PMP® or PgMP® certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 7 years’ renewable energy infrastructure experience in the US.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting utility-scale development.
• Exceptional project management skills.
• Expert-level knowledge of regional markets, permitting frameworks, and commercial structuring.
• Deep experience understanding and managing project budgets and forecasting.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Develops a portfolio of utility-scale Solar, Wind and Energy Storage projects from green-fielding to start of construction.
• Leads cross-functional project teams and guides financing prep, including data room and third-party engagements.
• Manages full project lifecycle with internal and external experts;涉及 land control, permitting, interconnection, pre-construction, energy yield, and tax equity financing.
• Oversees cost estimating and EPC bidding to firm up CAPEX with Preconstruction and Procurement teams.
• Optimizes engineering design and supports construction phase to COD.
• Mentors junior Development Managers/Associates across functions and markets.
• Drives project competitiveness via technical, commercial and financial levers.
• Leads due diligence of project acquisitions with M&A team.
