Job summary

MYR Energy Services is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to oversee electrical substation, transmission, and distribution EPC projects from bidding through closeout. This role provides engineering leadership and supports design reviews, construction, startup, and final as-built documentation.

The ideal candidate has PE licensure, 7+ years in design/engineering or project management for EPC projects, and strong coordination with vendors and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in design, engineering, or project management for electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• PE license.
• Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus.
• Construction/EPC project experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects nationwide from bidding to closeout.
• Coordinate detailed design engineering subcontractors and field liaison activities.
• Interface with vendors and procurement for equipment and materials.
• Prepare engineering and equipment procurement requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate engineering subcontractors and procurement activities with project leadership.
• Manage testing and commissioning contractor for EPC projects.
• Travel up to 25%.
