Job summary

MYR Energy Services, Inc. seeks a Pre-Construction Engineering Manager to oversee engineering for electrical substation, transmission, and distribution EPC projects nationwide from bidding through closeout.

The role includes supporting owner design reviews, construction/startup, and final as-built documentation, with frequent vendor coordination and cross-functional leadership across teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in design, engineering, or project management related to electrical, transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• PE license required.
• Experience managing project teams or consultants is a plus.
• Construction/EPC project experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and prepare proposals for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Coordinate all detailed design engineering subcontractors and field liaison activities.
• Coordinate engineered equipment and material procurement activities.
• Interface with equipment vendors and expediting procurement information and deliverables.
• Prepare engineering and engineered equipment procurement requirements of the project.
• Schedule day-to-day engineering subcontractor and equipment procurement activities with Project Executive/Manager.
• Manage testing and commissioning contractor for EPC projects.
• Travel up to 25% as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
