Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Debone Department Lead for the 2nd shift in Texas Center. This role supports the Supervisor by relaying instructions to the team and ensuring timely, correct execution while monitoring equipment and maintaining safety and Tyson policies.

Primary duties include leading the department setup, ensuring USDA, production and HACCP standards are met, and assisting with staffing decisions based on product flow. Prior lead experience within 12 months is required.

• Six months of Lead experience with a single employer within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisor in day-to-day operations of debone operation.
• Monitor equipment and notify supervisor of maintenance needs.
• Relieve line personnel as needed and fill in for absenteeism.
• Assist with staffing decisions based on product flow and attendance.
• Maintain general housekeeping and safety in the work area.
• Fill in for Supervisor in their absence.

This position pays $19.25/Per Hour This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Assist Supervisor in day-to-day operations of debone operation.

Job Synopsis

• Primary tasks include department set-up; ensure USDA, production and HACCP requirements are met in area.
• Assist supervisor with monitoring shoulder cuts, mechanical issues with debones and meat supply.
• Make decisions on staffing assignments based upon product flow, product mix and attendance.
• Other responsibilities include relieving line personnel as needed, fill-in for absenteeism as necessary, wash down at breaks, and insure general housekeeping.
• Fill in for Supervisor in their absence.

Requirements

• Applicant must have six months of Lead experience with single employer within the last 12 months.

Rehire Eligibility

• Prior Employee Waiting Period: Previous Tyson team members must wait 181 days from their separation date before reapplying.
• Number of Times Worked at Tyson: Eligible applicants must have worked for Tyson Foods no more than three times.
