Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Lead A Shift to support the supervisor in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will help manage product flow, team training, and daily activities, ensuring inventory accuracy and safety compliance.

The role requires leadership within the warehouse and strong communication across management levels. Responsibilities include planning, directing work, completing audits, and ensuring loads are closed on time while maintaining high fill and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 6 months Lead experience within the last 12 months.
• 1 year of Production experience within the last 12 months preferred.
• Rehire requirements: Tyson rehire policy applies.
• Proficiency in reading and writing.
• Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate across management levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with product flow and process efficiency.
• Oversee daily activity of Warehouse Department employees and lead in their absence.
• Train employees, plan, assign and direct work, and resolve issues.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and promote safety in the warehouse.
• Manage housekeeping and load/unload directions; audit loads and complete documentation.

Job Details: Lead A Shift Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 6:00pm $24.10

This position is responsible for assisting the supervisor with product flow and process efficiency, product quality, and team member training. Assists supervisors in overseeing daily activity of Warehouse Department employees. Carries out Lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work and resolving problems. Keep all aspects of inventory accurate. Manage housekeeping throughout the warehouse. Managing the workload through JDA by planning and allocating orders. Researching shorts and discrepancies. Giving direction for trucks to load/ unload. Collaborating with SRC for yard and dock management. Working closely with supervisors to resolve issues and maintain smooth workflow. Good email communication. Going on the floor to inspect loads and complete audits. Closing loads on time and accurately providing explanation when loads are late. Driving positive fill rate through managing shorts and inbound volume. Being a champion of safety. Ensuring all paperwork is filled out correctly and compliant with Tyson policy and expectations and is acceptable by audit standards. Other duties include ensuring that all product quality and safety processes are being followed consistently promoting a safe work environment and performing other responsibilities as needed. Following all safety and policy procedures as set forth by Tyson Foods. This position must have a focus on customer service and displays a high standard for professionalism. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have 6 months Lead experience within the last 12 months.
• 1 year of Production experience within the last 12 months preferred.
• Rehire Requirements: All Candidates that have Previously worked for Tyson will have a Rehire waiting period of 365 days waiting period and will be Limited to 3 times.
