Job summary

Selinc is seeking a senior electrical engineer to lead power system protection, control and automation projects in Texas. You will design, validate, install, commission and operate protection systems and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality solutions to customers.

Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing proposals, and providing training and support during implementation. Travel requirements of at least 25% are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of electric power systems engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of protection, control, automation and integration technologies.
• Experience with power system design, studies, protective relay applications and communications.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a team.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (min 25%).
• Background screening and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced knowledge of electric power systems to complete complex engineering tasks.
• Lead design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of protection and automation systems.
• Serve as a technical leader to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.
• Provide technical training and customer support during projects.
• Contribute to technical proposals, estimates, and customer solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify customer needs and develop solutions.
• Mentor engineers and supervise when needed; promote operational excellence.
• Support business objectives through innovation and customer-focused service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
