Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in EET, CAD, drafting or related discipline.
• Six+ years of high-voltage electrical design experience with protective relay systems.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of protective relays and control system installation requirements.
• Ability to learn technical product concepts and engineering standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed physical and electrical designs, BOMs, and project estimates under leads.
• Create and maintain CAD drawings and engineering documentation.
• Provide design engineering support throughout design and execution phases.
• Prepare technical specifications and supporting documentation for review.
• Complete assigned work safely, accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
• Support and mentor interns, drafters, and entry-level designers.
• Build expertise in power system protection and automation solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and workflows.
