Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. seeks a senior professional to apply power system expertise across SEL products, lead customer training, and drive successful automation and protection projects.

The role emphasizes design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation, with travel of at least 25% both domestically and internationally. Strong communication, teamwork, and safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline required.
  • 5+ years relevant application experience with electric power systems, industry practices and focus area philosophies.
  • Knowledge of electric power system protection and control, integration and/or automation and communications applications.
  • Knowledge of electric power system design, studies, information and protective relay applications.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of power system focus area and SEL products to complete complex assignments.
  • Lead training and assist customers with design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of automation and/or protection systems.
  • Lead in planning and executing work within scope, schedule and budget with high quality and safety.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting proposals for SEL equipment, services, and systems.
  • Mentor and develop staff; may supervise as necessary.
  • Model and apply SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
  • Understand. Create. Simplify.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
