Job summary

Port of New Orleans is seeking a Port Facility Maintenance Master Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain a broad array of equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-powered systems. The role supports the Port's Mission in keeping port operations moving within the Facility Services department of the Maintenance Division.

Three years of relevant maintenance experience and ability to work on gas, diesel, and propane engines, HVAC, generators, and fleet vehicles are required,

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in the maintenance or repair of mobile equipment.
• Experience with heavy mobile equipment or industrial/maintenance machinery.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and engine systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-powered equipment.
• Inspects, dismantles, adjusts, replaces, and installs defective components.
• Performs preventive maintenance and emergency repairs, including testing, lubrication, and equipment records.
