Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Corrections is seeking a Plant Maintenance Engineer Lead in Lino Lakes to oversee the Power Plant and related plant-support activities. You will supervise maintenance staff, manage equipment and controls, and coordinate inspections to maintain safe, compliant operations.

Ideal candidates hold a Minnesota Boiler Chief Engineer Grade C+ license and have strong leadership in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, including DDC controls.

Qualifications

• Must possess current licensure in Minnesota as Boiler Chief Engineer Grade C or higher.
• Leadership skills to provide leadwork direction, prioritize and assign duties, and guide staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide lead work direction to Plant Maintenance Engineer staff in Power Plant operations and supporting activities.
• Coordinate inspections for the facility and be the license holder for Chief Engineer – Class C; ensure compliance with DLI.
• Direct interactions with incarcerated individuals as part of duties.
