Job summary

HireTalent seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical capital and maintenance projects at a power generation facility in Minnesota. You will support reliability initiatives, troubleshoot plant systems, and manage upgrades to switchgear, transformers, and MV/HV equipment.

You will develop scopes, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with operations, maintenance, and contractors to improve performance and reliability across critical power generation equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in power generation/utilities/manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with medium-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Project management experience from development through closeout.
• Troubleshooting and reliability engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of plant electrical systems, power distribution, and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical capital and maintenance projects from planning through execution and closeout.
• Support electrical reliability initiatives and troubleshoot plant systems and equipment.
• Manage upgrades and replacements of switchgear, transformers, MV and HV equipment.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and contractor coordination plans.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, contractors, and engineering teams to improve plant performance.
• Support modernization projects, outages, and continuous improvement initiatives.
