Job summary

Xcel Energy in Minnesota seeks a Supervisor for Instrument and Controls maintenance to lead daily activities, coordinate with operations, scheduling, and engineering, and ensure safe, on-time execution of planned work. You will guide crews, participate in training initiatives, and support station improvement efforts.

The role requires a strong safety mindset, effective communication, and proven leadership in a nuclear/fossil or similar industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-high school education or equivalent work experience in engineering or a related technical field.
• Five years of experience in nuclear, fossil, similar industrial facility, or military experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe execution of daily maintenance work activities.
• Reviews daily work, leads crew briefings, assigns tasks and conducts pre-job briefings.
• Interacts with operations, scheduling, planning and engineering to resolve issues.
• Ensures work stays on schedule and handles changes to daily plans.
• Participates in station improvement and safety initiatives.
• Supports training by serving on the Training Committee and overseeing on‑the‑job training.
