Job summary

Ever-Green Energy is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Engineer for the Hennepin County Energy Center in Minneapolis. The role focuses on safe operation and maintenance of district heating/cooling systems, with responsibilities spanning equipment, systems, and process optimization.

The candidate will hold or be able to obtain state operating engineer licenses, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance across plant operations.

Qualifications

• Two years of plant operations and/or maintenance experience or technical training in a related field.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Holding a Minnesota Second Class A or B Operating Engineer’s License and eligibility for First Class A within two years.

Responsibilities

• Operate heating/cooling and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Inspect equipment, piping, and facilities for safety and compliance.
• Isolate equipment and lockout for safety and maintenance.
• Test system chemistry to ensure proper water/steam conditions.
• Maintain operating logs and maintenance documentation.
