The Missouri Department of Corrections is hiring for a senior level heating plant operator/maintenance role. The position oversees operation, maintenance and repair of boilers, pumps, valves and related equipment to ensure reliable heating and power services at the facility.

Candidates should have two+ years of skilled experience, be able to read electrical and mechanical diagrams, and perform routine testing of water treatment and control systems.

• Two or more years of skilled experience relevant to the listed job functions.

Responsabilidades

• Repair and maintain boilers and related equipment (feed water pumps, circulating pumps, valves, regulators, steam and water lines).
• Repair/replace steam and water lines, unions, regulators, strainers, steam traps and related equipment.
• Replace seals and gaskets in power plant equipment as needed.
• Test and monitor the boiler water treatment system.
• Maintain/repair electrical/electronic components and control panels; replace parts and repair wiring.
• Read sketches and diagrams to perform maintenance and repair work.
• Operate and maintain diesel generators for emergency power production.
• Make minor adjustments/repairs to electrical generators, boilers, pumps, refrigeration systems and related plumbing; assist in major repairs; fire boilers and operate related equipment as necessary.
