Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Piping Designer to lead a design team and deliver comprehensive mechanical and piping deliverables. The role emphasizes supervision, technical direction, and adherence to project constraints, with on-site startup involvement and cross-disciplinary coordination.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation, and a strong command of design

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical equivalent in engineering technology or CAD.
SPED (Society of Piping Engineers and Designers) certification preferred.
15+ years of progressive mechanical/piping drafting and design experience.

Responsibilities

Provide supervision and technical direction to a team of designers.
Deliver mechanical/piping deliverables on time and within budget.
Lead design work as a technical specialist on complex assignments.
Mentor and develop junior drafting staff.
Coordinate with other disciplines and staff to meet scope, schedule and budget objectives.
