Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Pasadena, TX seeks a Mechanical & Piping Technical Specialist to lead a team of designers, deliver all mechanical and piping deliverables on schedule and within budget, and act as a subject matter expert on complex design tasks.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, an associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD, and SPED certification preferred. Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and Microstation, plus strong communication and mentoring skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD. SPED certification preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Strong knowledge of piping materials, supports, and design practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to a team of designers and deliver mechanical and piping scope on time and within budget.
• Mentor subordinates and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure project quality.
• Prepare installation specifications and cost estimates; develop construction schedules and man-hour budgets.
