Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking a Mechanical/Piping Designer to lead a team of designers, delivering complete mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget. This role requires extensive experience and acts as a technical specialist for complex designs.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with discipline leads, and participate in squad checks to ensure quality and adherence to codes and standards. On-site startup support is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
• SPED Certification preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Knowledge of piping materials and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of designers to deliver mechanical and piping deliverables on time and within budget.
• Provide technical guidance to junior design staff and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Produce mechanical and piping installation specifications with engineering review and approval.
• Develop construction cost estimates and man-hour budgets for projects.
