Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a Leadman who can supervise craft workers, provide instruction, and support the Foreman while performing journeyman duties in piping systems.

You will lay out, fabricate, install and maintain piping for steam, hot water, heating, cooling and production systems, ensuring safety and quality standards. Experience coordinating installation sequences, selecting materials, and reading plans is valued.

Qualifications

• Leadership and instruction of craft workers on work crews.
• Ability to plan sequences and select proper tools for piping installations.
• Knowledge of pipe fitting, safety practices, and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead crew and assist Foreman in piping projects.
• Select type and size of pipe and related materials per specs.
• Inspect site for obstructions and plan installation sequence.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipe using appropriate tools.
• Install and test piping systems for leaks and performance.
• Weld pipe supports to structural members and secure piping.
• Ensure compliance with safety and project rules.
• Assist in lifting and positioning materials during installation.
