Job summary

SCA Health in Texas is hiring a Registered Nurse for PreOp PACU to support perioperative care across our facilities. You will assess patients preop and postop, monitor vital systems, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe recovery after anesthesia.

The role requires a nursing degree, valid state license, BLS/BCLS certification, and ACLS/PALS within 90 days. The successful candidate will communicate clearly, protect patient rights, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of PreOperative or PACU experience required.
• Current state nursing license in good standing; BLS/BCLS required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to facility policies.
• Interpret information from various noninvasive and invasive monitors.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care and administer medications safely using the 8 rights.
• Provide hand-off reports and collaborate effectively with other team members.
