Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Lead Tax Processor with SME capabilities to guide the Payroll Tax Operations team. You will own complex escalations, govern SOPs and knowledge bases, and coach staff to build capacity and reduce hand-holding.

You will oversee high-stakes tax notices, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance while collaborating with cross-functional partners to maintain audit trails and accurate filings.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll tax experience with complex tax defect resolution and multi-state amendments.
• Experience as a lead, senior specialist, or SME with coaching/j mentoring junior staff.
• Expert knowledge of tax regulations across US jurisdictions, incl. local and state programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary real-time technical expert for TP1-TP3 staff and coach resolution paths.
• Own authoring, review, and approval of SOPs and KB articles across core operations.
• Conduct quarterly coaching sessions with SBIC feedback to close skill gaps.
